Welcome to the Ergo platform. This Privacy Policy was created to demonstrate our commitment to transparency, security, and the protection of your personal data, in strict compliance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13.709/2018 - LGPD).
When you use Ergo to evaluate environmental, cognitive, and behavioral factors, we collect only the information strictly necessary for service delivery and for the development of institutional research.
1. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
For the system to function and statistical reports to be generated, we collect two categories of data:
- Dados de Autenticação e Perfil: Nome de usuário, Nome Completo, Data Nascimento, Organização, País e E-mail.
Finalidade: Garantir a segurança do acesso, identificar o usuário na plataforma e gerenciar o perfil individual.
- Dados de Diagnóstico Ergonomico (Formulários): Respostas sobre o ambiente físico (temperatura, ruído, luminosidade), aspectos cognitivos (foco, conhecimento técnico) e comportamentais (pausas, uso de redes sociais).
Finalidade: Calcular os índices de Efetividade Diária e gerar relatórios estatísticos agregados para fins acadêmicos e de pesquisa no âmbito da UFPB.
2. USE OF COOKIES (RIGHT TO INFORMATION)
In respect of the LGPD transparency principle, we inform that the Ergo platform does not use marketing cookies, advertisements, behavioral tracking, or third-party advertising services.
We exclusively use Strictly Necessary Cookies, which include:
- Session Cookies: Temporary and essential to keep you safely logged in while browsing the system pages.
- Security Cookies (CSRF Token): Mandatory mechanisms to protect the system forms against external attacks and malicious data submissions.
Legal Notice: As they are vital technical components for the stability and security of the application, the use of these cookies is based on the legal basis of Service Execution/Contract and Legitimate Interest, waiving the display of intrusive consent banners ("Accept/Reject"), since the system cannot function without them.
3. LEGAL BASIS FOR DATA PROCESSING
The Ergo platform processes your data based on the following LGPD legal hypotheses:
- Contract Execution or Preliminary Procedures (Art. 7, V): Necessary for providing the logged-in service and delivering individual reports.
- Conducting Studies by a Research Institution (Art. 7, IV): For institutional statistical purposes, ensuring that, whenever possible, data is analyzed in an aggregated form.
4. DATA SHARING
Ergo adopts a strict policy of not commercializing data. Your information will never be sold or shared with private companies or for commercial purposes.
Access to raw data is restricted to system administrators and authorized researchers of the Ergo project, with the strict purpose of improving the tool and producing scientific knowledge.
5. DATA SECURITY
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration:
- All data traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted using the HTTPS / SSL protocol.
- The system runs in a container environment and isolated server, with strict internal network access restrictions.
- Error logs and access logs are continuously monitored to prevent and mitigate vulnerabilities.
6. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT
LGPD guarantees you control over your information. At any time, you may exercise the following rights by contacting the platform administration:
- Confirm the existence of data processing and access your profile information.
- Request correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data.
- Request the definitive deletion of your account and its associated data from our active database.
